Definition :-
Fraction means a part of a group or a region. A Fraction is written in the form of p/q; where both p and q are natural numbers & where q is not equal to zero.
here;
p = numerator
q = denominator
e.g. 2/3, 100/342, 4/3, 2/100, 3 3/2, 4/9, 6/9....etc


In other words, fraction has two parts:

Number above the division line is known as numerator
Number below the division line is known as denominator

Numerator represents "How many of the parts are taken".
Denominator represents "Into how many equal parts the whole part is divided".
