Property 1:-
If we multiply a given number with 1, then the resultant number is same as of given number.


Example 1 = Find the product of 234 and 1.
Answer = 234 * 1
= 234 so you see the resultant number and given number are both equal i.e 234.

Example 2 = Multiply 999 with 1
Answer = 999 * 1
= 999 so you see the resultant number and given number are both equal i.e 234.


Property 2:-
If we multiply a given number with 0(zero), then we always get result as 0(zero).


Example 1 = Find the product of 234 and 0
Answer = 234 * 0
= 0 Hence, you see that product of a number and zero is always equals to 0(zero).

Example 2 = Multiply 999 with 0
Answer = 999 * 0
= 999 Hence, you see that product of a number and zero is always equals to 0(zero).


Property 3:-
The product of two numbers doesn't change even if the order of the numbers is changed


For example, Order 1 = The product of 12*10 = 120,
Order 2= The product of 10*12=120. Hence you see the result in both order 1 and order 2 is same i.e 120


Property 4:-
The product of three numbers doesn't change, if the grouping of the numbers is changed


For example, Grouping 1 = The product of (5*6)*10
solving brackets will give
= 30*10
= 300

Grouping 2 = The product of 5*(6*10)
solving brackets will give
= 5*60
= 300

Grouping 3 = The product of (5*10)*6 = 300.
solving brackets will give
= 50*6
= 300

Hence you see the result in grouping 1, grouping 2 and grouping 3 is same i.e 300


Property 5 :-
To multiply a given number by 10, just put a zero on the right of the given number.
To multiply a given number by 100, just put two zeros on the right of the given number and so on.


For example =
product of 222 and 10 give result = 2220,
product of 14 *100 will give result = 1400,
product of 188 *1000 will give result = 188000,
