## Odd Numbers

__Definition__

The numbers which have 1, 3, 5, 7, or 9 at its unit/ones place are called **Odd Numbers**.
**In simple words,** we can also say that all numbers which are not divisible by 2 are called **Odd Numbers**.

**Following are some examples which further explains What are Odd Numbers.**

**Example 1 =** From the given series of whole numbers find which are odd numbers ?

Given series = 24, 39, 66, 101, 200, 877, 999.
**Answer =** Among the given series of whole numbers, find the numbers which are not divisible by 2 and we get
**Odd Numbers** are 39, 101, 877, 999.

**Example 2 =** From the given series of whole numbers find which are odd numbers ?

Given series = 12, 256, 19870, 333, 888, 675.
**Answer =** Among the given series of whole numbers, find the numbers which have 1, 3, 5, 7, or 9 at its ones place and so we get,
**Odd Numbers** are 333, 675.

**Example 3 =** From the given series of whole numbers find which are odd numbers ?

Given series = 440, 43, 76, 77, 9999, 427, 900, 709, 242
**Answer =** Among the given series of whole numbers, find the numbers which are not divisible by 2 and we get
**Odd Numbers** are 43, 77, 9999, 427, 709.

**Example 4 =** From the given series of whole numbers find which are odd numbers ?

Given series = 99, 88, 77, 66, 55, 6546, 9089,
**Answer =** Among the given series of whole numbers, find the numbers which have 1, 3, 5, 7, or 9 at its ones place and so we get,
**Odd Numbers** are 99, 77, 55, 9089.
