## Predecessor Number

__Definition__**Predecessor** is one less of the given natural number.
**Or in simple words, Predecessor** is that number which comes before the given natural number
**Also, we can say,** if we subtract 1 from any given natural number, we get the **Predecessor** of that given natural number.

**Some example related to Predecessor are as follows:-**

**Example 1 =** What is the predecessor of 6 ?
**Answer =** Here, the given natural number is 6

To get Predecessor of 6, we will subtract 1 from 6

6 - 1 = 5

So, we get **5 as the predecessor of 6.**

**Example 2 =** What is the predecessor of 30 ?
**Answer =** Here, the given natural number is 30

To get Predecessor of 30, we will subtract 1 from 30

30 - 1 = 29

So, we get **29 as the predecessor of 30.**

**Example 3 =** What is the predecessor of 97 ?
**Answer =** Here, the given natural number is 97

To get Predecessor of 97, we will subtract 1 from 97

97 - 1 = 96

So, we get **96 as the predecessor of 97.**
